The Cyber 'cells'

The current day Internet has been exposing people to the influx of information and data like never before. The credibility of the information isn’t directly related to its popularity, which also adds up complexity during transmission. Thus, in this project, we intend to raise the awareness of the complexity and connotation of trending topics, specifically #covid in 2020. By laying down the co-occurrence of the topic over time, an overall, yet selective portraits of the topic can be formed online, especially on social media platforms like Twitter; we will explore the popular topics for each month in relation to #covid and the popularity growth throughout the time. We hope to see the public reaction and social movements during the pandemic period.
