Ordos100 [years?]

This thesis explores the afterlife of architecture—what happens when cities are built but never fully inhabited. Focusing on Ordos, Inner Mongolia, where large-scale urban development met unexpected demographic and ecological shifts, the project reimagines the remains of overbuilt housing not as failure, but as opportunity. By repurposing the Ordos100 site—once intended for luxury villas—into a flood-adaptive public landscape, this work reframes architecture as an ongoing process of negotiation with change, resilience, and collective use.
